SmileStart
SmileStart delivers high-quality dental care and oral health education to underserved children and adolescents under 21. Through mobile clinics and school-based outreach, the program provides cleanings, fillings, fluoride treatments, and hygiene education — all with dignity, compassion, and professional standards that rival any private practice.
About the project
Vision
A world where every child and adolescent — regardless of income or location — receives the dental care, education, and respect they deserve to smile with confidence.
Target Population
SmileStart serves children and adolescents up to age 21 in underserved and remote communities, including low-income families, migrant populations, and youth with limited or no access to quality dental care. The program also partners with schools, clinics, and community organizations seeking to improve oral health support for young people where it’s needed most.
Expected Outcomes
SmileStart leads to measurable improvements in oral health among youth, including fewer untreated cavities, better hygiene habits, and stronger community trust in mobile and outreach care. By combining treatment with education, the program empowers children and families to maintain healthier smiles long after each visit. It also sets a new standard for what community-based dental care can look like — high-quality, compassionate, and accessible.
Every child deserves to smile with confidence.
